Welcome to another edition of Wonderful Wednesday!! My old Quilt Bee from my last home town used to meet every week. We would begin sewing in the morning, break for lunch, and then sew all afternoon. It was a very productive time for us all.
Well, we moved away and the friends stopped sewing together... until recently. Several of us decided that our weekly group should meet up once a month to sew. It felt good to be together, again! This month, we made a point to invite another old friend. It was just like old times.
Here is how the day went...
A lesson learned:
Vines and Lines (or something like that) class:
Paper pieced pets:
The beginning of the Shop Hop Quilt:

Lisa pieces a new quilt:
Joy finished the base of another basket...

Old friends got a chance to visit. Productivity reigned. What a wonderful day!!
Until next time...
Make time for friends!!!
Sounds like a wonderful day. Our group used to have a day for Procrastinators Anonymous. I miss it.

ReplyDeleteYour group gets a lot done! I wish I was in a group like that. It sounds like you had a good time too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfectly lovely day!
ReplyDeleteQuilty friends are awesome, and spending that kind of time together is the best. Looks like every one of you got a lot done.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun gathering and lots of work was accomplished! I think we need to do something similar to this with our group of friends. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteThese kind of groups are so necessary. And not just for quilting. I've been a member of a group that started as a babysitting co-op. When all the kids were grown - we became the Co-Madres - mothers helping and supporting each other. Now we're the Nasturtium Society. We still meet once a month to catch up, support and chat. Glad yours got back together. You made a lot of wonderful things!
ReplyDeletePS - this is our 40th year.
ReplyDeleteYour group looks like so much fun! I need to find an "in person" group - I tend to rely way too much on cyber-groups. Love your scrappy basket. :)
