ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC18 - Week 10

Welcome to Week 10 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  I am SEW happy that the Color of the Month is GREEN!!

Sunday - I thought I'd start with the work that was done yesterday morning.  NeedleB appears to have gotten the memo about the NEW Color of the Month:

Does "safety green" count?  If so, I'm ready, too:

Thank you, Diane at Stitch Studio and others, for the "basket starter" scraps.  It's almost ready for final assembly:

Quite a different method.  This is the "pattern size" basket top:

Ready?  Set.  Quilt!!  (And THEN the PURPLE will be done.)

MONDAY - Got mail???  Nope!!  Not today.  Well, except for the stack of bills that I wrote out and have ready to mail off.  Yep.  I'm "old school" like that.  What can you do?!

Squared Away BOM reminder... Find the March block HERE!!  Thanks, Mari, for collaborating with Angela for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  You've got a great start for a fabulous quilt!!

TUESDAY - Taking a trip through the LIGHT/BRIGHT GREEN scrap bags, baskets, and bins.  Here is what I discovered:

I also released a new Scrap Attack post.  Feel free to scope it out!

While I was up in the studio, I did a bit of catching up on Libby's Mystery.  Sewing Clue 2's rail units:

WEDNESDAY - What??  Well, a couple of hours of relaxing sewing with Needleb.  I finished the quilting on my PURPLE scrap basket (that I had hoped to complete last month.)  Better late than never, I would say!

Side One:

Side Two:

THURSDAY - So little sewing time.  :o((

I did manage to quilt one row on my February Scrap Attack goal.  Don't look too close!!  I'm practicing with my new Skullet ruler purchased at Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival.  My motto is DONE is better than PERFECT:

FRIDAY - It's a great way to end the week or start the weekend.  Quilting at Needleb's for an hour or so, that is!  In Wednesday's entry, I shared the quilted basket panels.  This afternoon, the basket was ready for binding:

Libby of Hillside Quilter released Clue 3 of her Magical Mystery.  I wonder how long it will take me to get this one done?  Oh, the challenges of SEW many projects and SO little time!!

SATURDAY - How on Earth can it POSSIBLY be LINK PARTY day, again?!?!  Well... it is, so we better head over to Angela's So Scrappy blog to see what the other RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  You may see a mess of LIGHT/BRIGHT GREEN.

That's "mess" in a good way.  As in a whole lot of lime green goodness.  Here is the contents of a bag that was stashed away:

It's a VERY good thing.  :o))

I'm also linking up with Cynthia for Oh Scrap!

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  1. Lots of pretty greens to make a nice green basket out of.

  2. Love the purple basket. Looking forward to seeing the green one coming together soon.

  3. Another busy week for Joyful! How is "pattern size" basket different?

  4. Sure safety green counts! You've sure got a lot going on...probably better you don't match your scraps too well and get lost in there!

  5. A fabric mess is always a pretty sight in my book. Even better in John Deere green. ;^)

  6. Your purple basket looks great! Those bright greens look yummy, too.

  7. Your purple basket looks great! I think those greens will be fun to sew with next!

  8. The purple basket looks great and you have a lovely bunch of green scraps to play with this month.

  9. Wow, that's a lot if scraps and it looks like you are making good progress too. I love the greens you are using, they look so Spring like. Thanks for visiting my blog,
    Best wishes from the UK,

  10. My fav part is to see what tag you put at the end, to tie it all together!

  11. Your scrappy projects are always so inspiring. Thanks for sharing with Oh Scrap! I always love to see what you are up to.
