ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC17 - Week 22

Welcome to Week 22 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week was spent intermittently working on one of my UFOs.

If you caught the preview on Tuesday, sorry about that!  I must have hit "publish" instead of "save" when adding to the outline for this post.  Now you know how I manage to keep track of everything... I don't!!  I add things as I go along.

SUNDAY - Today included tackling Mt. Washmore and entertaining DS1 and his girlfriend for the afternoon.

MONDAY - The Memorial Day Holiday (US) meant that my friend Tracy was at Knit Group.  She's a school teacher, so should be joining us more frequently once Summer arrives.  :o))

The afternoon was spent at the sewing machine, although the washer and dryer continue to call.  I'm not even really sure where all that laundry came from.  I think the guys must be going out to solicit dirty articles of clothing from around the neighborhood to make sure that I don't run out of things to do!!

TUESDAY - Today is a stay-at-home day and I had hopes of sitting at my sewing machine for most of the day.  Care to make a wager about how that panned out???  LOL

If you guessed that I would spend the first half of the day chained to my sewing machine... You would be CORRECT!!  The second half of the day was spent getting beautified for an upcoming trip to a conference with my DH.  The poor dear has to work while I play!

The third half of the day was spent doing MORE laundry.  LOL, with so much to do, surely there MUST have been a third half to the day.  I tell you, they are bringing laundry in off the street or washing CLEAN clothes along with the dirty ones!!!

WEDNESDAY - Another day filled with potential for sewing.  I took my current projects over to Needleb's house and made significant progress.

While you are waiting for that, you might like to head over to THIS post for another day at the North Carolina Quilt Symposium Show. It includes many more quilts, so I hope you'll be inspired!

THURSDAY - A normal Thursday, but not!  I finished up friend duty early and went back to Needleb's to borrow her (bigger) Design Floor.  Here's a peek at my project:

You will have to wait for the results, but YELLOW was involved.  Why would that matter???  Well...

I came home to find that Angela had posted June's Color Announcement.  I had been thinking...

And, guess what?!?!  I guessed correctly!!!  :o))

FRIDAY - A normal Friday, but not!  I finished up even earlier and it's a lucky thing, too!!  I have a looming deadline.

Check out my Design Floor Friday post.

SATURDAY - Before joining Angela's LINK PARTY over on the So Scrappy blog, I dug out my YELLOW scraps to see what I have to work with during the month of June:

I believe I have quite enough to keep me busy in the coming weeks. What about you?  Do YOU have plenty of YELLOW scraps?  I hope so because quilting the rainbow is SEW much FUN!!!

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  5. Don't those guys know how to do laundry? If they are trained to cook and clean, they will have happy spouses someday. I was lucky to have a man like that for 45 years, thanks to my MIL. Enjoy some sunshine yellow this week outdoors.

  12. I'm convinced that the laundry reproduces somehow while it's waiting to be washed. Those piles grow so much quicker than we use clothing. Happy stitching this next week.
