ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC26 - Week 45

Welcome to Week 45 of the 2026 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week is a mixed bag of appointments, art, and meetings.  There will be no chosen Color of the Month for Angela's Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  November is for finishing.  In light of that goal, I am focusing on this Orphan Block UFO:

Read on to see what happens...

SUNDAY -  During my Weekly Morning Art Zoom at Get Messy I painted the following page for the Negative Space Painting prompt for the 21 Day Painting Challenge from Sarah Martinez.  I had more fun with this prompt than I thought I might:

MONDAY - Errand/Art Day

I got a slow start today.  Then I had to go to the grocery store and was late to the Library Crawl on Get Messy.  Needless to say, I didn't get anything done.  Eventually, I managed to  work on Day 16 of #PaintPlay21.  Here is my interpretation of the No Peeking! prompt:

Later...

A quick flower sketch tutorial drew me in, too.  Here is my interpretation of the reel from @paintwithcinders on Instagram which is also available on YouTube:

TUESDAY - Art Day
.
During the Early Explorers hangout, I did today's Dollop Drip Drag prompt for #PaintPlay21.  Mine turned out to be a dreamy landscape:

Once that was done, I did some quilting.  No photo, though.

WEDNESDAY - Art/Sew Day

During Midweek Meetup, I intended to worked on Day 18 of The 21 Day Painting Challenge.  Here is my interpretation of  the Light Over Dark prompt (not normally done with watercolor) made during our call:

Before dinner...

I did a bit more quilting on this month's Rainbow Scrap Challenge project:

THURSDAY - Doctor Day/Art Day

Today I planned to attend my Weekly Quilt Group at Lynda's.  Alas, there was no ART-venture photo to share afterwards because I missed quilting and Britt was out of town.

Where were you, Joyful???

I had to make a doctor appointment to follow up on some recent diminished hearing.  Since I was in Hillsborough, I took the opportunity to visit the art store and the knit shop.  :o))

After returning home...

I tackled the Small Marks prompt for #PaintPlay21.  I was inspired by a sunset over water photo found on the internet:

FRIDAY - Knit/Art Day

This morning's Knit Group was held at Beth's house.  Here we are right before Stacy left for the gym.  It was good to have a fairly full house today:

After lunch...

I headed up to the studio for Deandra's Art Zoom.  Today, I focused on the "My Color Study Exercise" prompt for the 21 Day Painting Challenge.  This was my interpretation:

After dinner, I went upstairs for my Weekly Evening Art Zoom.  This page in my Collage Scraps Journal incorporated fabric and thread from my recent quilt project:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will stop by for a visit Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  As you saw, I  managed some Light and/or Dark NEUTRAL scrap work this week and hope to finish the project this weekend.

But first, I have some art to do...

Day 21's Gratitude & Intentions prompt for #PaintPlay21 will happen/happened after this post goes live (since it will take more thought than I can spare at the moment.)  I'll add a photo once I complete my journal page:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!
