What did you say your project was, again, Joyful???
I signed up with a different idea in mind than most. You can read about it HERE. That link will tell you all about my project.
The gist of my focus...
Decluttering my home and studio in an effort to free up space for MORE creativity.
Here's my progress for Week Two:
I gathered some stuff for donation and took a deep dive in the pantry. I'm still not thrilled about this week's progress, but I'm plodding along and every little bit helps.
Wait a minute!!! What am I saying???
I actually doubled my challenge total this week. That's a very good thing! If I happen to manage that again for the next two weeks, I will have met (and exceeded) my goal for the challenge.
I got rid of the following items:
2 cans of food for the Food Bank (Admission to Art Feeds the Soul Quilt Show)
1 electric razor (contributed by DH)
1 pr. boots (contributed by DH)
1 skein of yarn
1 paperback book
2 t-shirts
1 dress shirt
1 pr. clogs
1 lunch box
1 watch
2 kitchen utensils
5 expired cans of food (trashed)
Week 2 Total for the 100 Day Project: 19/100
Updated Total for the 100 Day Project: 35/100
Thank you to those of you who encouraged me in my decluttering efforts during Week 1 of the challenge! I appreciate your kind comments and your willingness to cheer me along. Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing had the following to say:
Hooray for your decluttering, I just pulled 3 yards to donate to a drive for quilts (they want 1/2 yd or more). I will see what else I can divest of in a casual approach to joining you!
Here is the reply I sent:
Casually is a comfortable way to declutter. That's the way I normally do it, too. During the 100 Day Project, I am inspired to amp up my game. Best of luck in finding additional fabrics you can part with!
Feel free to jump in at any time, readers! The 100 Day Project can easily work on your own schedule and timing. Not into decluttering? Choose any extended project you would like.
