ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC26 - Week 7

Welcome to Week 7 of the 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week I'm hoping to add the remaining seams needed to get these GREEN scraps into a little quilt top:

Read on to see if that actually happened...

SUNDAY - PQ17.3 - Year of the Horse

Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me adding binding to my challenge quilt...

As well as cutting out the dress shape on the magazine image below:

MONDAY - Random Art Day

Another watercolor workshop with Tammy Kaye...

Was followed by Get Messy's Curiosity Collective where the focus was on Monochromatic collage.  This is what I put together using a few different magazine images.  GREEN, in honor of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge friends:

Later, I went back upstairs for my Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color...

During that call, I put together My Favorite Flowers collage:

After a month and a half or more of quick phone calls, Knittingsuek and I met for our FIRST Zoom Call of the year:

TUESDAY -  Errand Day...

Along with the Tuesday Explorers Open Studio Zoom on Get Messy where I added this page in my Collage Scraps journal using papers made for my Care December journal:

After dinner, I attended this month's Scrap Club Sit and Sew with Jeff.  I spent the time chatting with other members and assembling GREEN fabric scraps into a little something:

WEDNESDAY -  Shopping Day

I missed Monday's LIVE call for BB Bash and today's, too.  I was able to find the things DH requested and made it home in time for my Joyful Art Zoom with Belinda:

We had planned to do watercolor swatches from a photo reference.  Instead, we used a magazine image as inspiration for our "copy" session.  Here's the painting I did:

THURSDAY - Weekly Quilt Group

No photo, though.

After lunch, Britt and I did some quilting:

Once my quilt was quilted...

We went downstairs for more acrylic color swatching in our Dina Wakely Ledger Journals inspired by the work of Denise Love.  I was shocked by all the colors I could mix using Fluorescent Pink, Cadmium Yellow Deep, White and Black:

My alarm went off and I headed out to see the Junior Quilter and her family to deliver their replacement gifts for the ones that were damage in a house fire a few years ago:

Fortunately, J was there to take a photo of the four of us:

FRIDAY - NO Knit Group today  :o((

I had household chores to take care of, so it was just as well.  After lunch, I headed up to Get Messy's Friday Friends Open Studio.  I spent time chatting with my art friends and worked on this page in my Collage Scraps journal:

During my Weekly Evening Art Zoom, I worked on cutting our letters words and phases from junk mail and then put together a quick page in my Collage Scraps Journal.  I'm not convinced that it's totally done, but here's where I left it:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  Here's a look at the GREEN scrappy goodness on the gallery wire:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
