WARNING!!! ANOTHER PHOTO HEAVY POST!!!
Welcome to Week 6 of the 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! This week is full of plans for art and quilting. There are meetings and classes on the agenda. Will the BLUE scrap sewing that I have in mind to do actually happen?
It's February! The Color of the Month for the RSC is...
GREEN
SUNDAY - I created this page in my Collage Scraps journal during Weekly Morning Art Zoom. Notice the nod to the wintery weather outside my studio window:
After lunch, I attended the BB Bash Kick-Off. I'm loving her colors, but I went...
Another way as she was talking about tomorrow's MESSY prompt. I got a start on this:
Welcome to North Carolaska this morning DH began to shovel out...
Later I pitched in to tackle the snow mountain left by the plow:
MONDAY - While waiting for time to head to Curiosity Collective, I checked my GREEN scrap situation:
Then I concentrated on exploring Lesson Two from the Get Messy Color book. I still couldn't find my copy, but made this based loosely on the given:
Then it was straight into today's live Zoom call for the BB Bash where I added marks and a splash of inky mess to the page I started yesterday:
TUESDAY - My day began with Brooke's video for the Messy prompt. Just look at all the delicious papers she created, but I'm just not in the mood to make a mess:
During Tuesday Explorers Open Studio, I worked on a blue page in my Collage Scraps journal and added something I wouldn't normally, but the stickers were calling:
Kristen @ Scrap Fabric Love announced her next QAL. Look! Scrappy Side Trips:
WEDNESDAY - Grocery run and found a fabric for this week's PQ Challenge entry and pulled my I dug out my (Yucky) GREEN scrap basket:
Midweek Meetup with Jessy over on Get Messy and decided to work on my page for the REPETITION prompt for the BB Bash...
Then moved to my Collage Scraps journal for a GREEN page. I may even add some scraps of fabric for my RSC Quilter friends:
Ignore the dry skin, but as I worked, I remembered that I needed to take a photo of this spot that appeared on the inside of my forearm overnight. Let me know if you've experienced anything like it:
THURSDAY - Doctor Day
Well, technically the dentist, but my heart was in Chapel Hill where my Weekly Quilt Group was meeting. I dressed for the occasion:
I had plans after my appointment, but went straight home because is was snowing when I left the office. It was just as well because I was able to play with some "Yucky" GREEN scraps:
During my Weekly Evening Art Zoom, I worked on my interpretation of the "go deeper" lesson on color:
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
