ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC25 - Week 46

Welcome to Week 46 of the 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This is Week THREE of my retirement.  I've got something scheduled every day.  Will that leave time for any scrap sewing???

Read on to find out...

SUNDAY - Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me doing a little bit of gel printing:

After lunch, I sat down at the sewing machine with my scrappy donation quilt growing into rows:

Before dinner Sue and I met for our Weekly Zoom Call.  I'm holding up the tumbler that she gave me at retreat.  I was already absorbed in a quilt project and completely missed our photo op that weekend:

Thank you again, Sue!!

MONDAY - The day began with a FREE watercolor workshop with Tammy Kaye.  Given the opening statements, I wasn't sure I wasn't sure that I would stay for the class.  Here's the painting I made based on the inspiration photo:

I finished the class in time for my Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

TUESDAY -  Open Studio with Barb found my going through my collage scraps, again:

WEDNESDAY - Doctor Day

This afternoon was my follow-up CT scan to see how my lungs are doing.  When I got home, I noticed that the first house on the other side of the street had been landscaped while I was gone.  It is one of only THREE final homes to be completed prior to road resurfacing:

THURSDAY - Weekly Quilt Group

I was there, but don't have photo evidence.  I do have a photo of the journal page created during today's Curiosity Collective artist date over on Get Messy:

I continued my artsy afternoon at Sketchbook Party with Renee Mueller.  I added this page in my 2023 Flowers Magic Artfest journal...

Along with this abstract composition during Pause & Paint with Italian artist Norma Chung:

FRIDAY - Knit Group

Beth was the happy recipient of the scrappy quilted art piece I made last during weekend's MAKE IT MINI workshop with Kristen @scrapfabriclove:

Here are the four members in attendance:

After lunch, I went up to the studio for Get Messy's Open Studio with Deandra.  The page shown below was previosuly stenciled, but I decided to add a magazine image.  It was collaged on either side of one of the vellum pages in my Get Messy Art Journal:

Later, during my Weekly Evening Art Zoom, I worked on this page in my Collage Scraps Altered Book journal:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

I spent the majority of the day taking care of some neglected household chores.  Once my tasks were complete, I met with Knittingsuek for our Weekly Zoom Call.  I didn't realize that it was actually the second one for this week until I started dropping in the photos:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
