How'd the plan pan out, Joyful???
SUNDAY - Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me working on the AUTUMN and CHECKERBOARD prompts for ICAD. Yes! I used some PURPLE fabric scraps:
Evening flooding from Tropical Storm Chantal:
MONDAY - Day Off
Our power was out for 16 hours and the flood waters reached halfway up our back yard:
This afternoon's grocery run was followed by my Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:
On our evening walk, we discovered that crews have been busy on House # 18 and 19:
TUESDAY - Day Off
Construction crews were out bright and early to build the forms for the coming concrete work:
Later, I attended Open Studio with Barb and friends. I scoured magazines for something vaguely related to the BRONZE prompt and did some lettering to complete my card:
WEDNESDAY - Day Off/Celebration Day
In construction news today...
It was concrete day. Two driveway and two sidewalks were poured. That included the section of sideway that connects our driveway to the new neighborhood:
THURSDAY - Work
My early morning dental appointment was calmed by this serene piece of art:
After work, I headed to the hospital for an afternoon CT scan of my lungs to see why I'm STILL coughing after 15 months. That was followed by a stop at My Secret Closet. So many shades of PURPLE on my late afternoon shopping trip:
I was supposed to be meeting Britt there, but her appointment ran late. My adventure had to be cut short, as yet another storm was approaching and the store decided to close early. If you look in the distance, you can see the wall of water that I faced on my trip home:
FRIDAY - Work
Afterwards, a grocery and pharmacy run was followed by dinner and...
My Weekly Evening Art Zoom where I collaged the GIRAFFE prompt for ICAD:
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week. I was up early this morning playing with this fun fabric scrap. See the hint of PURPLE??? It will be the binding of last month's TABLE SCRAPS Challenge entry:
Here's the fully completed quilt:
I'm off to my Quarterly Saturday Quilt Bee meeting so if I've missed anything, please accept my apologies. I'll post a photo later... A small group today and I nearly missed the photo op:

Get SCRAPPY!!
I'm very glad the flood waters only reached halfway up your yard and not ALL the way. Still scary however! Every storm lately has gone around us. Hope the doctors get that cough figured out and cured.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry about the flooding, Joy! Hope it didn't cause too much damage to your yard. That neat fabric with the O's on it looks like it was the perfect choice to bind your beach mini!
ReplyDeleteScary flooding but so glad it didn't flood all the way to your house. The Table Scraps quilt is so cute & hooray for some purple sewing!
