ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC25 - Week 27

Welcome to Week 27 of the 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week is sure to be a mix of errands, work, and art.  Will PURPLE scrap quilting play a part in my days?

Read on to find out...

SUNDAY - Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me working on the PARQUETRY prompt for the Index Card a Day Challenge:

The monthly Scrap Club meeting with Kristen @ Scrap Fabric Love was held on Zoom this afternoon.  I worked with paper scraps to make a start on a new Board Book Journal using a children's book as the base:

MONDAY - Day Off

A trip to the grocery store and my Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

In neighborhood news...

House #14 has been landscaped (the tree fell down in a passing storm)...

And House #18 is beginning to take shape, with House #19 soon to follow, but currently just a stack of wood on the right edge of the photo below:

TUESDAY - Tidy Up Tuesday (An update on 15 years of UFO finishing fun!!)

Day Off

Errands were followed by Open Studio time with Barb and other Get Messy art friends found me finishing on the interior of my new Board Book journal:

Work

Afterwards, I finally pulled out the PURPLE Quilted Scrap Basket to prepare for my July scrap sewing for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

Work

Afterwards, I added some decoration on the two zines I made when I finished my Board Book journal on Tuesday afternoon:

FRIDAY - July 4th Holiday

My day started with these lovely ladies at Knit Group:

After a quick grocery run and a bite to eat, I headed upstairs for Get Messy's Open Studio with Deandra.  The ICAD prompts for Week 6 have been released so I got started on them with my interpretation of the ROAD prompt:

Laundry and dinner occupied my time before Weekly Evening Art Zoom where I continued working on my Index-Card-a-Day challenge.  Tonight was for the BICYCLE prompt...

Followed by a solitary fireworks walk, as DH was too tired to accompany me tonight:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  No PURPLE sewing here, yet.

On tap for this afternoon...

July's Get Messy Season Opener, one more load of laundry and Zooming with Knittingsuek.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!

  1. I was going to go outside to watch whatever fireworks our neighbors were doing. But they didn't get going until after 10 pm and I already had my PJs on - and I was too lazy to change clothes and go out. LOL You have lots of purple to play with this month.

  2. The parquetry prompt resulted in some fun designs - they make me think of quilting designs! It seems those landscapers should have given that little tree some support to keep it upright in case of a storm. You've got some pretty purple scraps to play with this month, too!

  3. Remember the movie, "If it is Tuesday, this must be Belgium"? When I read your post I thought this must be what your active crafting life must be like. For example, if it is Wednesday it must be LeeAnna. What active artsy life you lead.
