SUNDAY - Back to reality and to the moon!! See this week's Wonderful Wednesday post for further details. What I will share now may surprise you:
What you are looking at is a photo of my recently quilted quilts for H2H. If you are new to longarm quilting or quilt every day, I would like to remind you to check your thread tension on or after EVERY row!!
I didn't follow this advice and am now paying the price with UNquilting two nearly finished quilts. All that remained was trimming the edges and applying the binding.
This is what I found when the quilt backs were revealed:
MONDAY - It was a lazy day. Holidays are like that here in Joyful QuilterLand. It's Memorial Day in the good old US of A. I spent part of the day sewing binding for one of my H2H quilts:
And a portion of it using up the binding leftover from Dr. Pete's Wedding Quilt:
I also released a Mail Call Monday post. Find that at this LINK.
TUESDAY - My monthly evening Quilt Bee met tonight. I used that time to start picking out stitches:
And used the space to lay out Dad's Ties for Molly:
WEDNESDAY - I'm pleased to have visited with my old quilting friends today. We even contacted another of our bee mates.
Welcome back, Lois:
Look for this week's Wonderful Wednesday post HERE!! I've gotten a number of comments and want to thank everyone for their congratulations. Thanks, everyone! I really WISH that Blogger would hurry up and fix the email glitch, so that we can respond directly via email, again!!!!
SEW...
While sharing the layout for the quilt I worked on at NT Nights, I noticed a grievous error... I forgot the fish - shown in the center near the bottom of the photo below:
Now, I have to figure out a way to incorporate him into the quilt.
Sigh...
THURSDAY - Featherweights for SALE!!! Check out the information at Jo's Country Junction blog. I have no affiliation with the advertiser nor the sellers. Just passing along information.
FRIDAY - Another weekend is upon us. There's also a NEW Color of the Month for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:
Angela is OK with TURQUOISE being thrown into the mix. Honestly, I'll probably add AQUA, as well.
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day over on Angela's So Scrappy blog. Head over and you might see wrap ups for PINK projects from last month or you may see new TEAL projects for June.
I'm ready for the colors of the ocean:
But first, we are off to the End-of-the-Year Party for the local Robotics Team. Mr. Basket is one of the mentors. It's always fun to see how much the kids have grown and matured from year to year. Hard to believe that it's been 5 years (!) since DS1 was one of the graduating seniors. Where has the time gone???
Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!
Oh I LOVE the robotics competitions! Last year while I was at a Bonnie Hunter workshop, I sat by a coach. Her team just happened to be competing that day and she was watching videos and live streaming the competition. I've followed it ever since. Fascinating. Have fun and good luck to your team!
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain for unquilting. UGH! Remember to also check when you re-thread. Sometimes when I rethread because a thread breaks I don't realize that it jumped out of one of the tread guides. Those are pretty important -- lesson learned!
LOVE all your turquoise that you are sporting today (or aqua--whatevers). What a productive week of getting back into the routine.
Oh, I feel your pain! Yikes! Hope it works out okay. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteInto each life a little unstitching must fall. But dang, it's frustrating!! Glad you had some other fun stuff going on :)

Arg! tension!!! You can be going along perfectly and go back the next day and even the humidity will have messed with the tension. Love that teal on you!
