The Joyful (Quilty) Orphan Adoption - Autumn Edition

Welcome to the Autumn Edition of the Joyful (Quilty) Orphan Adoption!!  This event is organized by Cynthia over at Quilting is more fun than Housework and I was pleased to find something to contribute.

I was out of town for the last part of the week and will be leaving again later today.  Travel (and some deadlines) really put a damper on my preparation for this event.  :o((

Here is what I have on offer this time around:

Approx. 2.5 pounds of scrappy goodness!!!

WHAT, Joyful?!?!

Yes.  You read that right.  I'm letting go of nearly two-and-a-half POUNDS of fabric scraps!!  The scraps range in size from 1" strips and squares to 6" WOF.  They range in style from neutrals to botanicals to batiks.

Sorry, no Modern-style fabrics are included in this bundle!

How do I acquire this lot of scrappy goodness, Joyful?

Simply leave a comment indicating that you would like to adopt these scraps for use in your quilting.

Are there any special requirements for their use?

No.  You are welcome to use these scraps how and when you see fit.  Use them, save them, give them away.  Whatever meets your needs and makes you happy.

What's the catch???

The only caveat is that YOU will be responsible for shipping!!! Sorry to have to add this stipulation, but with two kids in college and hours cut at work, the additional postage expense just doesn't fit into the current budget.

The winner can choose the shipping method to fit their budget and/or priority level.

When is the drawing?

The winner will be drawn at random on Monday, September 26, 2016.  Shipment from my North Carolina location can be expected NO LATER THAN Saturday, October 1, 2016.

POST COMMENTS BY 9/25/16 TO QUALIFY!!!

Thank you for stopping by and I'll be on the look out for MORE items to set aside for the next Quilty Orphan Adoption.  Thank you to Cynthia for organizing this event!!  It offers those of us with excessive or unloved quilting projects or materials a chance to lighten the load by rehousing some our surplus.

Until next time...
Good luck, Bidders!!!

  1. Yes, yes, me please. (Hand raised to the ceiling.) I would love to receive this lovely eclectic package. I would like to make another quilt for Victoria Quilts, an organisation who gives quilts to cancer patient. I'd be more than happy to pay for shipping. Thanks for the chance, Joy. ;^)

  2. Oooh, I'd like a chance to win. How fabulous! My stash is lacking in neutrals and I love batiks. I could see these coming together into something nice.
