Wonderful Wednesday - Art Feeds the Soul Quilt Show

Welcome to another edition of Wonderful Wednesday!!  It seems that I didn't schedule the post to release yesterday.  It's THURSDAY now.  Whoops!

Some of you might have read about the quilt show I attended last week in my weekly Rainbow Scrap Challenge post.  I made mention of it in Wednesday's entry, but wanted to share more of the show with you.  I really enjoyed spending time with my beemate Stacy and getting to know her a little better while viewing the quilts:

The entrance was decorated with banners of the two participating guilds...

Along with a display of one guild's amazing Raffle Baskets:

The upstairs loft housed the other participating guild's Silent Auction...

Down the hall from that is where the Vendor room was located.  No photos from there nor from the Boutique downstairs, but when I took a closer look at the Raffle Baskets, I had to take this photo to let LeeAnna know that I was thinking of her:

On with the show...

This quilt was awarded Best of Show:

Here are some of my favorites quilts on display...

I'm (mainly) sparing you any commentary, but suffice it to say, you will be seeing the following quilt again in an upcoming post:

Here's a close-up:

This one was made by a group of my friends who participate in the Original Works Bee:

I tried to capture the quilt's information...

Along with the project details of this "photo slice quilt", which features photography by group member Carrie Porterfield:

The following series of photos are from another group's challenge project:

And when I saw this one, I had to take a photo for Knittingsuek's, as she is a fan of Sugar Skulls:

Here's a close-up of the quilting:

Now, back to wandering the rows of quilts...

I'll leave you with this beauty made from a Caryl Bryer-Fallert(Gentry) pattern:

Editor's Note:  My apologies to ALL of the quilt makers for doing a poor job of photographing the quilts and the accompanying name cards to the best advantage.

Until next time...
Go see a show!!!

I know you might not be able to see this very well, but I couldn't resist taking a photo of the colorful POLKA DOT JEEP that pulled into the parking lot as I was leaving:
