ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC22 - Week 41

Welcome to Week 41 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week didn't allow for any sewing time.  I did take another look through my LIME/Light GREEN scrap basket (and the pile of small projects previously set aside on my sewing table.)  You'll have to scroll to the end of the post if that all you care to see.  Otherwise...

Let's see how the week rolled along...

SUNDAY - Zooming with Sue started the week off right:

MONDAY - Today was filled with art-y videos for a Book Launch Party, but this mindful drawing from Cynthia Hauk's Life Book session was all I have to show for the day:

TUESDAY - I opened a gift from Knittingsuek this morning.  It contained a fun mix of stencils for working in my art journals and a yard of my favorite Tula Pink fabric:

Thanks, Sue!!  What a fun Sue-prise!  :o))

I went right upstairs to try out one of the stencils, in positive and negative:

By the time I was done, it was time to head off to meet my friend Hilary for lunch:

Check out tomorrow's entry to see what I did with some of these Encore Azaleas this afternoon:

WEDNESDAYHere is what I did with those beautiful blooms from yesterday... I created my very first mandala.  This one is a nature mandala on our patio:

Today was a work day so Wordle...

... And Quordle were on my agenda:

Before work, I added doodles to the paint drip/splat exercise Angela Murray had for her students the other day.  I was resistant at first, hence the days that passed since, but warmed to the task:

Do scraps of paint count for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge?  :P

After work, I enjoyed an abbreviated Zoom session with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color - I was scheduled for an extra hour each day this week:

THURSDAY - Another work day meant another day of...

And Quordle:

FRIDAY - We are ramping up for the holiday, so I made my way into the office and managed to sneak in a game of Wordle...

... And Quordle during my lunch break:

After work, I stopped by my friend Candy's house for the bag of scraps that she had offered:

Thanks, Candy!  I'm looking forward to seeing what's inside...
After the effects of my Covid booster wear off.

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  I'm heading up to the studio to audition a few more binding options for the project I've selected for LIME/Light GREEN month:

Until next time...

  1. How you get anything done with such busy weeks is pretty amazing. Your art books look like a fun adventure. I've wanted to try art books, but something would have to give if I did. Hope your weekend is full of all things creative.

  4. Oh cool on the new stencils! LOVE that Tula fabric as well. I don't have any of the "fancy" stuff. LOL. What fun a bag of scraps can be. Happy creating. I CAN'T WAIT to show off my table scraps challenge quilt. The end of the month can't get here soon enough. But I will be patient and not wish my life away. Beautiful things are happening all around us. ~~Kathy S.
