ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC19 - Week 5

Welcome to Week 5 of the 2019 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  It's transition week for the RSC.  We're finishing up our RED sewing and waiting for Angela to announce the Color of the Month for February.

Until then, it's business as usual...

SUNDAY - I released a blog post.  It's a new edition of Sew Some Love.  The other thing that kept me occupied was my Altered Rainbow commission basket:

It's early days for the project, but I woke with it on my mind and decided that it was time to get started.

But, WAIT!!  There's more...

Oh, that's only tackling Mt. Washmore.  You don't really want to hear about that.  Do you?

Yeah.  I thought not.  LOL

MONDAY - I took another trip around Blog Land today.  I followed a like from Cynthia's Oh Scrap! link-up to Koko Quilts to Instagram, where Sewkatiejean1990 shared the completed top of her Low Volume Plus Quilt:

It's probably a finished quilt by now, as the link was from 2017.

TUESDAY - Today was the 2nd meeting of the year for me Evening Quilt Bee.  I worked in a rainbow of colors:

Afterwards, I did the drawing for my Black/White and PURPLE Mug Rug made for the Black and White Blog Hop.  Carla said we could add a POP! color if we would like.

Well, duh!!  Of course, I was all in!!

See:

Head over to see who won.

WEDNESDAY - A week and a half ago, I attended the first APQS Play Date of 2019.  After dinner tonight, I released a new Wonderful Wednesday post.  Sorry it took SEW long!  I've had a number of other projects taking priority.

THURSDAY - I'm SEW excited!!!  Not only do I get to attend my Weekly Quilt Group this morning, I will be staying ALL DAY.  We are having a Pot Luck Sew Day.  Yay!

Here is a photo of the table full of fabric that our hostess has amassed for use in making our Donation Quilts:

FRIDAY - Today is Transition Day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  If you've been reading my blog for very long, you KNOW what that means.  If you are new here, Transition Day is the day of the week that a new month begins.

What's SEW important about that, Joyful???

Well, it means that I get to start playing with a new color of fabric scraps for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge.  What did Angela choose?

Survey says...

It's time to break out our YELLOW scraps:

By the looks of it, I'm ready for some serious FUN!!

Here's a gratuitous "rainbow in the wild" photo...

My little kindergarten friend gave me permission to make a quilt out of his newest work of art.  LOVE it!!!  My piece (if it EVER gets made) will be called Woven Rainbows.  Here is the inspiration:

BOTH the January AND February Color of the Month are included.

SATURDAY - The weekend is here and it's time for another LINK PARTY over on Angela's So Scrappy blog.  I'll have to catch up on everyone's projects tomorrow.  I'm off to February's Sew/ Craft Friends-zy.  I'm starting a NEW project.

Well... AFTER sewing the top of my niece's T-shirt Quilt together, I will start a NEW project.  Missouri Star Quilt Company's Pecking Order, I'm looking at YOU!!!

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!
