Let's start with Saturday's Sew Day at SECU Family House...
The following quilters were in attendance:
Britt set up her machine next to mine for a day of sewing...
Thank you for the assistance, Britt! I couldn't have worked on this UFO without your help:
SUNDAY - PQ 16.2
Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me working on the BUBBLES prompt for Junk Journal January:
MONDAY - Work
In neighborhood news, construction workers marked out the foundation for House #12:
I headed upstairs with my computer, but LeeAnna and I had a breakdown in communication concerning this week's Zoom call. I signed on just in case she showed up, but worked on one of my Junk Journal January pages while I waited:
TUESDAY - Work
I messaged LeeAnna earlier today to see if she would be able to chat this afternoon. I made a quick stop at the store on my way home, but headed upstairs to sign onto Zoom in case she was available.
While waiting for her to arrive, I worked on some PINK sewing, watched a vlog post and joined my very first Patreon account, Scrap Club with Kristen Hubert from Scrap Fabric Love on YouTube:
Late this afternoon, just after I gave up on waiting, LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color texted to see if I was ready to Zoom. I headed back upstairs for a quick chat:
WEDNESDAY - Wonderful Wednesday
Work
Afterwards, I did some arting at Woven, and artist date on Get Messy...
And went to dinner with my DH for a Celebration Day:
THURSDAY - Day Off
This morning is my (Weekly) Quilt Group meeting. I headed that way and found that we weren't actually meeting where I thought we were. I had missed an email saying that we would be meeting at the Passmore Center instead. Unfortunately, driving further away from home wasn't going to work for me so I made an appointment at the Walk-In Orthopedic Clinic for a check of my (still) broken finger...
The splint, however, is now in the garbage and I have some desensitization exercises and occupational therapy to do as it continues to heal:
Followed by a stop at the pharmacy and the deli, then raced home for this week's Curiosity Collective on Get Messy. The day's lesson was Serendipity by Karin Smolinski Aguirre @creativechaosstudio.returns for some abstract painting fun:
Later...
It was back out to my Monthly Evening Quilt Bee meeting with the following members present...
And then Knittingsuek arrived with some Show and Tell...
For ME???
Thank you, Sue! Such a perfect piece for my gallery wire (and a great way for you to try out your new sewing machine.)
FRIDAY - TABLE SCRAPS Challenge
Day Off
That means that I should be able to attend Knit Group. Right? Well... This week the answer is YES! Here are the four of us who were in attendance:
This afternoon, I tried out the new Open Art Studio hangout with Deandra and friend on Get Messy. I made a page to commemorate the event:
Tonight at my Weekly Evening Art Zoom, I worked on a few different projects, including filling the last few pages in my journal for the 5 Minute BINGO Challenge from The Ugly Art Club with some random collage:
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week. Yes! I sewed PINK scraps this week. (See the link in yesterday's entry.) I also pulled out my BLUE scrap baskets to prepare for February's scrap sewing:
This morning began with a Zoom chat with Knittingsuek...
Lunch was followed by the Opening of Season art session with my Get Messy friends on Zoom and I invited Britt to continue making art afterwards. We both got a few random things knocked off our list:
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
