ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC26 - Week 14

Welcome to Week 14 of the 2026 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week won't be like so many others.  Thankfully, I should be back to business as usual Thursday.  It's also a transition week for the RSC.  Check out Wednesday's entry for the new Color of the Month.

But, first...

Yesterday was a Pool Day.  Here's the photo evidence:

Here's how the time flowed...

SUNDAY - Chill Day

I missed seeing my Weekly Morning Art Zoom friends, but I enjoyed

An outing with my in-laws:

MONDAY - Rain Day

I enjoyed doing a bit of art in a class journal turned travel journal...

And reading my book:

No Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color this week.

Pool Day

A shopping trip first.  I spied this awesome flamingo luggage:

I knew that LeeAnna would want to see it.

No photo as the pool was CLOSED for maintenance when we arrived!!  :o((

The Return Trip

Here I am, waiting for the Fast Park shuttle:

FYI...

The Rainbow Scrap Challenge Color of the Month for April was mentioned on Saturday.  Angela called for the following color:

PINK!!!  :o))

THURSDAY - Throwback Thursday

Weekly Quilt Group was followed by an ARTventure with Britt:

Knit Group ended up a little smaller than we expected today.  Tracy was planning to attend since it's a school holiday, but she's been sick for the better part of two weeks and wasn't able to join us this morning:

I finished the ribbing on wove in the yarn tails on the first sock of my current pair:

After lunch, I was pleased to join Get Messy's Friday Friends Open Studio.  This afternoon I gathered papers for last month's Working the Ground lesson from Mona Stamm:

Later, it was good to see my Weekly Evening Art Zoom friends, too.  I worked on this spread in my personal journal from all the pamphlets and business cards I picked up at Carolina Fiber Fest a few weeks ago:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  I'll add the link when her post goes live.  Angela was up early!  Link is above.

Obviously, there was no sewing for me this week.  After such an active sewing month, I really missed it!  I'm looking forward to working with the Color of the Month for April.  As you might have seen, Angela mentioned it in last week's post, but she released the "formal" announcement on Wednesday.

Even though I didn't do any sewing, I did work on developing a plan for PINK month.  Does that count???  Here are the scraps I have to work with during April, if I manage to make something scrappy:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!

  1. Developing a plan for quilting is very important. And it's one of the things that often get me into trouble - or a new project. LOL

  2. I agree with Sara. Planning usually sends me down a rabbit hole. Glad you got to have a bit of a vacation. Never a bad idea.
