OK, so maybe not! But...
I received notification this week that the Mountains to Sea Quilt Series will be traveling to Elon, North Carolina to be displayed at the Annual Meeting of the Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail to be held on Saturday, February 1, 2014. The Executive Director, Kate Dixon requested the showing when our exhibit was first displayed at the 2012 Durham-Orange Quilters Guild Quilt Show.
Ms. Dixon viewed The Series at the quilt show, but this special showing will allow members and the Board of Directors to see the work that we created to depict various sites along the trail.
Friends of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail is growing group of citizens
and volunteers who support the trail. The FMST work all over North Carolina
building and maintaining trail, encouraging communities to create new
sections of trail, and helping people hike it.
