Saturday at the Fiber Fest...
You may not be aware, but I love all things Iris. It's my favorite flower and I fervently wanted to bring this yarn home with me:
This morning I was accompanied by this beautiful soul:

Then I was on my way to visit the Quilt Show...
I bought a raffle ticket for this quilt:
I also saw a few small quilts that I quite liked...

And a modern wall hanging in a favorite color combo of mine:
There were plenty of other quilts on display...
But this unusual "T-shirt" quilt made of hockey towels...

It was good to see my friend Carolyn and catch up a little bit. She was the first quilter I met when we moved to North Carolina more than 2 decades ago:

How nice that you could attend this show and see so many friends. The people at the show can sometimes be the icing on the cake, when the "cake" is the quilt show. You shared some nice-looking "cakes"... ha, ha, quilts. And it seems you had admirable restraint when it came to vendor shopping. Good job. Hope you find your hair clip!
