Welcome to Week 29 of the 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! This week, I'm going to try to fit in all the things. That includes some PURPLE scrap sewing. No, really! I have to get a jump on my TABLE SCRAPS Challenge because the end of the month will be here before we know it.
That's the plan, but let's see if I worked the plan...
SUNDAY - Here's the thread I chose for this week's PURPLE project:
During my Weekly Morning Art Zoom, I worked on putting my Either/Or journal together from a Make Create Express lesson from Vanessa Oliver-Lloyd:
MONDAY - Work
Quordle or Octordle during my break:
Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color
TUESDAY - Work
WEDNESDAY - Work
THURSDAY - Day Off
Weekly Quilt Group was today. I went, but forgot to get a group photo. Here's a photo of Maggie's latest quilt top. Believe it or now, she said that this complicated pattern actually made for some fast and easy piecing using only 8 FQs:
After a quick stop at the store and some lunch, I attended Get Messy's Curiosity Collective for Cait Smallwood's Trash Flowers lesson.
FRIDAY - Day Off
Knit Group met this morning with 5 members in attendance:
After lunch, I went upstairs for Get Messy's Open Studio with Deandra I worked on the ICAD prompts of TERRACOTTA...
And PIVOT:
Later, I headed back upstairs for my Weekly Evening Art Zoom where I made the following ICAD for the GRATEFUL prompt. The hand lettering was followed by a few spritzes of Dylusions Ink Spray:
SATURDAY - Work
It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.
I planned on doing some PURPLE quilting today. Did that happen???
Yes. Yes, it did:
As we stepped off the porch for our evening walk, I looked up to see this full rainbow and snapped a photo for my RSC Quilter friends:
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
