Read on to see how the days unfold...
SUNDAY - Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me slapping gesso on pages of several art journals. Nothing remotely photo worthy.
MONDAY - Work
Work was followed by a surgical consult, as it turned out that my CT scan revealed chronic inflammation of my gallbladder and evidence of gall stones. Surgery will be scheduled in a day or two. Doctor is currently booking 4 - 6 weeks out.
In construction news, the next three SIX houses were landscaped today:
TUESDAY - Work...
Was followed by fabric and design choices for this week's Project QUILTING challenge entry:
WEDNESDAY - Day Off
I've got a thousand things to do today, but focused first on a quick trip to the grocery store. As I headed out, I noticed that the sod was delivered this morning for the newly landscaped houses:
After putting the groceries away and eating a quick lunch, I did some BLUE scrap sewing while waiting for Zoom time. Well... Once the squaring up was done, that is:
A bit of stitching was followed by my Weekly Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color with more sewing on the horizon after our call was done:
THURSDAY - Day Off
I opted to attend my (Weekly) Quilt Group meeting, even though a scheduling conflict makes it so that I can only attend when we meet close to home. Today's meeting was further away, but since Ruth B. was going to be there, I decided to go anyway because I haven't seen her in ages! The few time she's hosted recently were work days for me. Here is our group photo of those in attendance:
Once I returned home, I jumped right back into the BLUES:
FRIDAY - Day Off
Knit Group. We met with the following knitters in attendance...
When I got home, I had a quick lunch and went upstairs to login for Open Art Studio. I worked on a bunch of random projects, including making a start on yesterday's lesson and finishing up my UNFOLD spread for Junk Journal January. I'm pleased to mark another prompt as completed, but there are still others waiting from when I fell behind:
After dinner, I attended my Weekly Evening Art Zoom. I was pleased to finish up the FABRIC prompt for Junk Journal January that I (finally) started arranging this afternoon:
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.
Yes. I did some BLUE scrap sewing this week. Check back tomorrow to see what came of my efforts and which of these backing scraps made the cut:
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
A busy week. So glad the surgery is scheduled. I might have pulled a fabric perfect for this months prompt! =)
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a safe and successful surgery. My gallbladder came out yesterday and I'm in recovery mode today.
ReplyDeleteYour blue spinning block turned out great. I love the two shades together. As for the delivered sod, at least it's fairly quiet work for getting that laid. Have a fun, scrappy weekend!
ReplyDeleteHaving landscaping done for those new houses has to improve the look of the whole neighborhood. I'm thinking your blue sewing this week looks quite interesting.
ReplyDeleteI get a bit tired just reading everything you did, Joy! You are going good, considering the medical aspects you have going on. I enjoyed seeing your pink and your blue scraps.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy week! You accomplished a ton this week!--TerryK@OnGoingProjects
ReplyDeleteYou do manage to get a lot done. And all while not feeling tip top. I hope your surgery goes well and that is happens sooner rather than later. Mr. Busy had his removed a couple of years ago and has been unbothered by pain and discomfort since then. Wishing you the same.
ReplyDeleteWell, you had a nice week, but I am sorry about the surgery. I hope it is a relief and sorry you have to go through it.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you finally have an answer as to what's been causing you all this trouble, Joy! Hope you don't have to wait too long for the surgery to take care of it. Glad you were still able to get out and do what you needed and wanted to do this week! Fun to see your scrap sewing, too.
