ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC21 - Week 43

Welcome to Week 43 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  It was another busy week in Joyful Quilterland.  Not much sewing, though.

Let's have a look at how the days ebbed and flowed...

SUNDAY - Memories of a Sew Day with the Three Musketeers:

I spent the afternoon cutting up perfectly good T-shirts for my next T-Quilt:

Make that my next TWO T-Shirt quilts:

MONDAY - Tonight was turn-in night for my Guild Challenge titled Happiness is a Rainbow.  The 18 participants were required to make a quilt at a max of 24" square, using a minimum of 1sq. inch of each of the Modern Rainbow colors - bright pink, lime, yellow, aqua, and purple.  They were encouraged to make a quilt that makes them happy or one that answered the prompt "Happiness is..." and the photo shown below was my entry:

Scrap Happy
~12.5" x 15.5"

TUESDAY - I spent the day working on this quilt:

Then had my weekly Zoom with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

I know it's not our regular day, but I was scheduled to help my MIL with packing up her house tomorrow (or rather keep her occupied while the packers packed, as they charge by the hour and she might feel the need to supervise!)

SEW...

LeeAnna and I were talking about our plans for the 2022 Rainbow Scrap Challenge and I dragged out my RSC drawer to show her my various block collections.  Lo and behold, when I opened the package that was shoved in the front of the drawer, LOOK what I found:

MY MISSING ROTARY CUTTERS!!!  :o))

Today was a day that I was running from dawn to dusk!  Pack at my MIL's house was replaced by appointments, meetings, and...

A meet-up at Pineapple Fabrics with Sue @ Knitty Quilter:

While there, I made sure to take a photo of this quilt for Knittingsuek...

... And I also got a photo of this one for LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color, as she is making wine bottles for the RSC:

Those photos were to show that I was thinking of them and this one is a shot of "the one that got away."  I was really trying to be good, but this one was darling, as well as on the "by the pound table", but I didn't NEED it, so I put it back:

However...

I did end up with two other fabrics that I didn't NEED, either:

THURSDAY - ZoomBEE LIVE @ Carol's driveway:

Sorry, Ruth!!  I manage to cut your head off (again!)

Light/Bright GREEN at the thrift store for my RSC friends:

That couch and this book...

... By the woman who taught me how to hand quilt all those many years ago, stayed at the store to remain available for someone who want to learn from one of the best:

FRIDAY - Knit Group was canceled, so a trip to the local Big Box hardware store was on today's agenda.  This carpet and flooring will be installed at the old house in the coming weeks:

Photo Currently Unavailable!!

Oh!  My new sofa was delivered yesterday...

... Along with the matching love seat and its former owner, my MIL, who temporarily moved in with us after selling her home.  She'll be off to Florida before long, but she doesn't want to move the furniture to her new home.  Goodbye, faithful (25y.o.) formal living room furniture:

Looking at the photo above, I see that a new paint color may be in order for the living room.  Ugh!  The list of projects continues to grow.

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!
