Welcome to Week 22 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! This week brings us close to the end of RED month. Are YOU still sewing your scraps? I am.
Let's have a look at this week's productivity...
SUNDAY - Sew Some Love Sunday follow the link, if you didn't see this post.
I spent this afternoon (and yesterday, too) with Lyric Kinard and the Global Quilt Connection for their All-Star Sampler Platter, an afternoon of nine quilting-related demos and some helpful Zoom tips:
MONDAY - A new edition of Mail Call Monday was published today and you will want to see my finished project:
TUESDAY - I spent a portion of my day finishing up another RED project. You can get a glimpse of the binding application below:
Tonight was the first in-person Evening Quilt Bee meeting in many months. We met across from the local Whit's Frozen Custard shop, brought Show and Tell, and enjoyed each other's company:
Zooming with LeeAnna this afternoon, with video AND sound on the same device! What a treat after last week's technical difficulties:
After dinner I went out to get some photos for this weekend's Sew Some Love Sunday post. RED was involved:
THURSDAY - A new edition of The Guest Blogger(s) was released. Be sure to check out the double shot from Miss Pat!!
ZoomBEE met with these eleven quilters in attendance:
FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT met this morning with a skeleton crew:
Vacation, appointments, and technical difficulties kept the others away. :o((
I took some time to sew the rows of a UFO...
... And finish off yet another donation quilt:
The highlight of my day was when Needleb stopped by to drop off my Birthday Quilt UFO (top completed in 2017!) which she had recently finished quilting. More on this once I finish up the binding. To give you an idea on just how excited I was... I came in and trimmed up the quilt IMMEDIATELY:
Add your link to the May 2021 TABLE SCRAPS Challenge, if you made a scrappy table covering this month. (Can't believe that I left it out of my post for more than half the day!!)
SATURDAY - It's Link Party day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.
If you read the fine print, you might have noticed that Angela announced PURPLE would be our Color of the Month for June. That gives me an idea about what I want to work on. It just may be that I might even complete one of my older UFOs. Stay tuned. :o))
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!!
You had a fabulous week!
ReplyDeleteDid a read Birthday??
ReplyDeleteAnother full and busy week. Evening QuilT Bee event looks like a lot of fun.
How nice to get together with other quilt friends for the 'circle' of quilting bees!
ReplyDeleteFun! A birthday quilt? Do tell! Glad you were able to in-person meet! Looking forward to reading about yet another donation quilt! You Rock!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt group was perfectly placed for some yummy fun! I'll look forward to seeing your birthday quilt finish, too!
ReplyDeleteBusy week! Has your Bee decided when you'll be meeting in person again? It's weird getting used to life without the masks again.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great week! Nice to meet quilters from the Bee!
ReplyDeleteAnother busy week! My knit club is also dwindling on zoom! I think we are all tired of it and can’t wait to get back in person. We are going to meet live starting in June! Yay!
ReplyDeleteBusy, busy with bits of red here and there. So fun that you got an in person meeting for show and tell.
