ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC23 - Week 6

Welcome to Week 6 of the 2023 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  It's a transition week for the RSC Quilters and BLUE is heading back to the scrap heap, while PINK will be taking pride of place on our sewing tables.

SUNDAY - TWO posts today.  Did you see them?  If not, here are the links:

Knittingsuek and I met for our weekly Zoom call this morning:

Later in the day, I put my big girl pants on and bellied up to the bar...

Well... I bellied up to the rails of the longarm and got a good start on the quilt shown above.

MONDAY -  (Not so...) Mini Monday - Link was shared in yesterday's entry.  By now, you've heard that if I don't post earlier, I would miss the Link Party.

Before heading off to work, I started a new art challenge.  The Simplest Things Challenge @ Mindful Art Studio.  This was my interpretation of Day 1 of the 5-day event:

And finished the quilting on Maggie's beauty:

TUESDAY - Work and this interesting scene afterward... DS2 under the hood of his car.  It's good to see him trying something new and his car will thank him, too:

WEDNESDAY - Catching up on this week's art challenge:

I'm enjoying the addition of the previous day's prompt along the side of the page:

Work and I was able to enjoy this clear blue sky as I waited to gain entrance:

I got home just in time for my weekly
Zoom call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:

THURSDAY - At work the Warehouse SALE began and will continue through 6PM on Saturday.  It was good to see people milling about the showroom.

Before heading out, I started the day's art challenge page:

People who called in their orders during the day got to talk with me:

During my lunch break, I did some PINK scrap cutting:

Work was followed by grocery shopping, a pharmacy run, and a stop by DS2's office.  When I got home, I found this lovely card from Linda @ Art in Search in today's mail:

This year's card is a gorgeous hand painted (?) fabric (using some type of resist technique) which was layered, sketch-quilted, and added to the cardstock.  It has assumed pride of place on the shelf behind the sofa:

I'll be sure to add a link once Linda's process post has been released.

FRIDAY - NO day off this week!! KNIT Group would have to wait for the NEXT time I have a Friday off!  I did have time to add the watercolor to yesterday's Simplest Things page:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!  I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  I'm heading over now.  See you there!

Here's one final photo from this week.  I tried to mix up some PINK watercolor paint for the final day of The Simplest Things Challenge, but it appears that you'll have to pretend I got the color right:

Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
