Welcome to another edition of Sew Some Love Sunday!! Hands2Help just ended, but there's another opportunity to help with a quilt of your making. There are prizes on offer, so YOU might want to quilt along for another good cause - Mercyful Quilts. One of my H2H20 quilts supported the charity started by Bernie at Needle & Foot Fine Fabrics.
Near the end of April, my friend Preeti @ Sew Preeti Quilts shared a photo of her latest quilt and made a BIG announcement:
Photo compliments of Preeti @ Sew Preeti Quilts
At that time, I had a conversation with Preeti and later released THIS POST, including a portion of the story.
After making the BIG announcement, Preeti released the following posts related to the charity event:
Sponsors - Spoiler Alert!! Find my prize offering here.
Then she followed up with instructions for...
Here's the beginning of my first block:
Thank you to Preeti for the background batik and to Candy for the textured white Plus fabric!!
This past week, Preeti released (what seemed like a million!) design plans for the Positivity Quilt. Find them below...
If you have been following my blog for very long, you know that I have a heart for giving. This may be the perfect opportunity for YOU to give, too!
Edited to add on 6/13/21:
Please keep the following guidelines in mind as you make (or choose) a quilt to donate to Mercyful Quilts...
- Suggested size - 60" by 80"
- Suggested Colors - Gender Neutral colors (avoid/limit pink)
- Quilting - Avoid dense quilting
- Fabrics - 100% Cotton (avoid/limit juvenile fabrics)
Until next time...
Give Positivity!!!
Great project for donations...
