Let's see how this week progressed...
After prepping Betsy's next quilt for longarming, I decided to start my H2H21 project. There is a tiny bit of GREEN in it:
My goal was to finish before my Zoom call with LeeAnna and I'm pleased to report that I even had time to go make a cup of tea:
THURSDAY - ZoomBEE met this morning. There were 14 quilters in attendance! It was SEW nice to have such a full house:
Until next time...
SUNDAY - A new edition of Sew Some Love Sunday was released this morning.
Tonight, I released another {Not So...} Mini Monday post. SAHRR, Round 6 in the works:
MONDAY - Welcome to March and GREEN month at the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! So what did I do? I might have started making something in Black and White today (wink! wink!):
Yikes!!! I joined the #IGQuiltFest2021 - wearing my GREEN scrappy Shamrock Surprise Jacket, of course:
TUESDAY - Look what I made yesterday! It's Angela's Bracket block for her Full Stop RSC21 QAL:
After prepping Betsy's next quilt for longarming, I decided to start my H2H21 project. There is a tiny bit of GREEN in it:
WEDNESDAY - I dragged myself out of the house bright and early this morning to get my 1st COVID vaccine:
I'm SEW excited!!! Last night, I found that my niece's wedding quilt got top billing in this week's Needle & Thread Thursday link-up. Thanks, Kelly! Here's the button to prove it:
ONE more Betsy quilt, locked and loaded...
... My RSC Quilter friends should notice that there are some lovely GREEN scraps in the quilt AND my stitch tester fabric also displays the Color of the Month. :o))
FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT was hosted by Beth today, as Cindy was at the beach for a BIG birthday getaway:
Green SHOULD have been the color of the day...
... As Angela released the "official" color announcement yesterday. Alas, I have SEW got to focus on this week's PQ12.5 challenge. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish my little quilt between now and Sunday! I did manage to get a really good start on it this afternoon.
SATURDAY - LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge. I'm looking forward to all the GREEN scrappy goodness that is sure to abound! Angela's link will probably go live sometime soon.
Once I've finished You're Crazy for Project QUILTING, I will be focusing on working through my idea for Round 7 of the Stay At Home Round Robin. THEN, finally I should be able to fit some GREEN scrap play into my day. I'm looking forward to that.
Get Scrappy!!!
Wow! You have been super productive. Way to go, Joy! Can't wait to see what that black and white project becomes.
ReplyDeleteBusy week with bits of green thrown in! Hope you are feeling better today.
ReplyDeleteAnother busy and productive week.
ReplyDeleteI love your Shamrock jacket! Congrats on the wedding quilt feature - it was nice to take another look at it on Kelly's blog.
ReplyDeleteYou've had a busy and fun week from the look of things. The shamrock jacket is fun! I envy your Zoom groups. Wish my quilting friends and other friends were willing to get onto Zoom to meet more than once every couple of months.
ReplyDeleteWhat a week! You've got a lot more green projects than I do! Congrats on being featured on Kelly's blog... I was too... must go find the button. Have fun this week. And, YEA for shot 1, I had shot 2 this week. Yea for that too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful life in scraps! Great week!

ReplyDeleteThat is a lot of green! So happy that you were able to get your COVID vaccine! I'm just back now from getting mine this morning and it feels great! Finally a step forward after a long dark year.
ReplyDeleteAlways such an exhilarating experience when the new colour is announced. Love that we only find out the colour of the month on the first day of the month.
ReplyDeleteLots of stitching and zooming going on at your home! What are you doing with the black and white I wonder?
ReplyDeleteYou've had a really lovely week. Those zoom calls look like such fun and wonderful way to stay connected with your stitchy friends. Yay for your first vaccine!
ReplyDeleteWow! Your jacket is amazing! And I love all your projects, green or not. Congrats on the 1st shot of the vaccine, we got ours as well last week. Things are looking hopeful.
ReplyDeleteSo busy! so much sewing! Glad you got that shot. My parents got theirs's done this past week, and maybe by the end of March I can.
ReplyDeleteYay for your vaccine! And I love your round robin. It's so unusual and completely original!
ReplyDeleteOh Joy, you live up to your name...chasing projects and squirrels all over the place. I am glad that you got your vaccine. I am thrilled to learn that your quilt was featured on NTT and so I clicked to check it out. It is so soothing and absolutely beautiful. And bonus - mine was there too. Have a lovely Sunday.
ReplyDeleteHey Joy, I saw your quilt over at Kelly's...what a beauty!
ReplyDeleteYou are keeping busy with all your lovely stitching. I'm envious you got your vaccine too...that's a great thing to have out of the way. You have a wonderful smile...very joyful indeed.
It makes me happy to read that so many of the quilting community are finally getting their first or second shot. I got mine (Pfizer) a week ago. It was amazing what a sense of relief it engendered, even if it's not fully effective for two weeks. I'm not planning on abandoning my mask or going out much anyway. Maybe by June, depending on what the current situation is by then. Lots of green showing up (I love our jacket), although I haven't pulled my green scraps out yet. And I have nothing St. Patricky to show since we are usually still down south until late March. Congrats on having the wedding quilt highlighted.
ReplyDeletePat
Congratulations on having a featured quilt! I did in fact check it out and was also happy to see Preeti's. You two are AMAZING!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are one busy quilter! I especially like your Shamrock quilt coat.
