ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC20 - Week 42

Welcome to Week 42 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  This week I'll start by sharing the only truly YELLOW mini quilt decorating the gallery wire in my studio.

SUNDAY - Celebration Day at our house!!  I chose to watch a Craftsy video and started a new mini quilt...

... Inspired by Suzy Williams' class, Fabric Play: Sewing Mojo Minis.  Fun, fun, fun!!!

MONDAY - I worked on my new mini:

And...

Candy dropped by to drop off her LWR quilt, but I left my phone upstairs.  Here I am, holding the quilt, while she takes the picture:

Later, I continued tweaking my design by adding unconventional lines:

TUESDAY - Any number of iterations later, the piece was starting to come together:

Stay tuned, as I finish this up (so I can focus on my friend's quilt on the longarm!)

WEDNESDAY - It was grocery day today.  Once all that was squared away, I did a bit of this:

Later, I zoomed with LeeAnna:

Afterwards, I released a new edition of Wonderful Wednesday.  Here's a sneak peek:

THURSDAY - Ten quilters enjoyed our ZoomBEE meeting today:

When I left the meeting, I got right to work on my friend's quilt that I loaded on the longarm earlier this week and later got a photo of this month's Kitchen Quilt stand-in:

FRIDAY - ZoomKNIT was attended by a handful of knitters today:

During the meeting, I hand wound this Knit Style Yarn from my friend Tracy:

Afterwards, I spent more time on my friend's quilt and finished the quilting late this afternoon:

This evening, I attended my very first Zooming DG meeting:

After the meeting, I taught myself a new-to-me knitting technique... Knitting a sock on two circular needles:

SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day!!  Head over to Angela's So Scrappy blog to see what YELLOW projects await.  I'll start us off with this month's Scrap Buster Challenge Block:

Until next time...
Get SEW scrappy!!

  1. Busy week! Looks like you are really enjoying Craftsy. Love the yellows in the stashbuster block. Knitting socks on a circular needle...hmmm. That could be interesting! Love the yarn color.

  2. I love to see that you are outside barefoot. Haha! Me too. After such a long time working from home, I dread the moment we have to go back to the office and I'll HAVE to put shoes on again. :^( Busy, busy week as always. Lovely projects. ;^)

  3. All that sunny yellow is very cheerful, which is so much what we need right now. I admire people who can knit, because all I ever end up with is a serious of knots. Your improv piece looks lovely so far!

  4. I knit socks on two circular needles and love it for it's ease. The quilting really shows up on your first mini. I'm with you on all the design decisions also going on in my studio! But you get lots done and make time for visiting to share Joy

  7. Yes, I can see your bare toes now it has been mentioned? Or perhaps you are wearing peep toe sandals? Another busy week for you, zooming, stitching, and long arming!

  8. Love the layers of your new mini. It's always SEW fun to learn something new and be creative with it. The black/white quilt is stunning! Can't wait to see how you quilt the LWR quilt. As always you have a lot of fun stuff happening. Are you going out to the grocery store now? Or does your pool boy still get it. LOL.
