Winter UFO Club Featured UFO #5
Question: Can this basket of blocks REALLY be turned into a quilt in 3 months time???
Answer: If I work really hard, I'm sure that it could!
Unfortunately, at this point, only TWO months remain in the Winter session of the UFO Club... and I have yet to touch the project.

Snow Star Swap
Winter UFO Club Featured UFO #3
Question: Does it count as DONE if I've completed the label???
Answer: No! I suppose not...
The plan is there. The blocks are there. I only have to cut the sashing, do the sewing, baste, quilt, and bind the quilt. I'm almost done! Right???

Question: It's basted, but will it EVER be quilted???
Answer: Soon!
There's a story to this quilt, but you'll have to wait until I've finished it to hear. Next up...another entry in the Winter 2011 UFO Club.

The Pfaff Returns...AGAIN!!!
This post was previously at the end of my 1st blog submission for 2011. Unfortunately, something happened to the formatting and it overlapped the post before it. Sorry! It was a bit of a mess.
If you've been following my quilting adventure, you know that I've had "issues" with one of my sewing machines. (If not, read about it here, http://thejoyfulquilter.blogspot.com/2010/11/help-my-sewing-machine-spit-at-me.html and here, http://thejoyfulquilter.blogspot.com/2010/12/return-of-pfaff.html to catch up.) Anyway, it went to the shop and home again, but it just wasn't sounding like it should. I took it BACK to Mr. Fix-It, but he was out shopping.
I stitched a bit for Mrs. Fix-It who claimed that she didn't hear anything - even though everyone in my house (and half the neighborhood) could here it from my sewing room!
Anyway...I left it. (There went ANOTHER week of sewing!!!)
When I picked it up (AGAIN!), I was told that there had been some OTHER bent part that "should have been spotted" during the original repair. (...you think?!)
Mr. Fix-It apologized and I was on my merry way.
This time...the machine sounds MUCH better! Thank goodness (!) because I've got UFOs to finish!
Now where's that List??? :o)
