SUNDAY - Best of 2025
Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me grabbing my PINK journal to add this fun image:
This afternoon's Scrap Club Zoom was paired with a Holiday Sit & Sew:
MONDAY - Errand Day and...
My Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:
TUESDAY - Today, I skipped Open Studio with Barb in favor of heading to The Quilted Needle in Pittsboro, NC to meet Cindiknits from the (Ravelry) UFO Club. It's a fun little shop with a lovely selection of fabrics. We thoroughly enjoyed shopping and chatting there:
WEDNESDAY - 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge Year in Review
Errands and an art date with Britt filled my day. I worked on a few pages in my Care December journal and she played with inky papers:
THURSDAY - Happy New Year!!!
New year, new glasses. They're a little different from my last pair. I've had them for a while, but haven't worn them until today:
Also, I signed up for the Declutter Challenge 2026 with Karen @ Just Get It Done Quilts and today is the day we get started. The focus is a different area or supply type each day:

Day 1 - The GARBAGE - Get it out of your sewing space!
I found some product packaging to throw away along with a skinny offcut of batting from the UFO that I've been working on recently.
Knit Group met this morning and we were thrilled that Tracy was able to join us...
Look what she brought me:
Thanks, Tracy! They are gorgeous and fit me perfectly.
Deandra won't be doing Open Studio on Fridays this year so I went shopping, got some lunch, went to the library, and made a quick stop at the grocery store. After dinner I headed up to the studio for my Weekly Evening Art Zoom. I worked on finishing this page in my Care December journal:
It's Day 2 of the Declutter Challenge - The SQUATTERS - Go through and remove what doesn't belong in your space! I found a bag of gifts for DS1 who, as it turned out, didn't spend the holidays with us. They were taken to "his" room for the next time he visits.
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week. Will I have a quilt top by next week? The following scrappy BLUE (and green) UFO project is laying on the design floor just waiting for me to stitch the rows into a quilt top:
Will today be the day this becomes a quilt top??? Come back next week to find out.
Day 3 of Karen's Declutter Challenge - SUBSCRIPTIONS - Go through and cull the excess! She thinks this is an easy category, but it's one of the hardest for me. I'll see what I can do, but first I have to tackle Mt. Washmore.
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!

Welcome to a new year of using scraps with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! It is hard to believe that we have been using scraps for so long.
ReplyDeleteSo many great art projects here! It sounds like we are on the same path this year of finishing UFOs in the monthly color. Good luck to both of us. I hope to add in some donations in the color, as well. We can do this!!
ReplyDeleteThe Declutter Challenge sounds like a good idea! I'll have to go check it out. Those are gorgeous socks - what a sweet gift. Looking forward to seeing what that neat block of strips and squares turns into!
ReplyDeleteI was going to clean a cupboard a while ago and thought of your past Declutter Challenges. Now I just read about your new one! I'm not in the Challenge but I will be cleaning some things out this year.
ReplyDeleteMt. Washmore? Hahahaha! After a week of company, I can certainly relate. The Quilted Needle looks pretty nice. I mapped if from my brother's and it's about an hour & 20 minutes away. Not bad. I hope to check it out in May! Here's to a good new year!
