Summer 2025 (Ravelry) UFO Club - The List

Welcome back to The Joyful Quilter!! The Summer 2025 (Ravelry) UFO Club is now OPEN for sign-ups!! Participants MUST list (at least) FIVE quilt projects. Photos should accompany the list. Sign-ups end at midnight EDT on July 7, 2025.

NOTE: All qualifying finishes must be posted BEFORE midnight (EDT) on August 31, 2025!!!

What's the plan this time, Joyful???

Same plan, different term.  My strategy is usually to list WAY more projects than I could EVER possibly finish in a single session and hope for the best! The "at least FIVE" project requirement for participation is the bare minimum, but I tend to err on the side MORE is better. I haven't changed. I'm still a bit of a moody quilter. That means I have to "be in the mood" to work on any given project! By varying the size and style of the items included on my list, I have options. These choices increase the chances of finding projects that I want to work on during the quarter.

Here is my project list for the SUMMER 2025 (Ravelry) UFO Club:

1. Double Pink & Brown BOM (??)

2. Bright Eyes (Faces Workshop 2021)

3. Grape Candy Coated (2023)

4. DOQ Neighborhood Challenge (2023)

5. A2 Baby! (2023 - on left)

6. Bottom of the Barrel PURPLE Race Quilt (2024)

7. Like Deborah (Boschart) Only Not (2016)

8. TSC Rainbow Plus Quilt (2024)

9. Color Wheel Runner (2023)

10. QFK JRR on Steroids (2023)

11. Sweet Kisses (2021)

12. Kaffe Runner/Topper (2022)

13Blue and Green for Parrish (2016)

14. Aboriginal Runner (2022)

15. Stitch Studio Remix (2012)

Quilting by Diane @ Stitch Studio

16. Bottom of the Bin Topper (2024)

17. Scrap Jar Stars (2017)

18. Inherited Iris (2020)

19. Ravelry Exchange Quilt (2009)

20. Shrunken Stars (2020)

SEW...

We'll see how many projects I can complete in a 3-month period of time. The reasoning behind the choice is that with 20 projects for the Summer 2025 UFO Club, I'm hoping that I will be lured by the "low hanging fruit" and build momentum for some additional quilting time. My goal is actually only ONE finish for the quarter. More than that is a bonus!  Perhaps, I will even remember to post each of them to the group... unlike the final finish for the last session.  Whoops!

Remember...

The Summer 2025 (Ravelry) UFO Club is OPEN for sign-ups at THIS LINK YOU are invited join in the finishing fun.  Members must list 5 (or more) projects for participation. Sign-ups will close at Midnight (EDT) on Monday, July 7th!  Please drop me an email, if you find that you need help with the process.  (Join Ravelry. The Guest Blogger(s) - Vol. 60 - Debbie Goes to the Beach

Welcome to Volume 60 of The Guest Blogger(s)!!  Yesterday, I received an email from Debbie M., one of my Get Messy Art membership friends.  She's been busy with her TABLE SCRAPS Challenge inspired the Life's a Beach prompt for the June TABLE SCRAPS Challenge.

Here is what she had to say about it...

Here is my June challenge piece. This piece was so fun.  I used to live near the Hollywood, Florida beach.  We spent every minute we could enjoying our time on the beach.  The quilt piece is going to spend the summer on my dining room table.

I replied:

Super cute, Debbie! What a great reminder of your time spent in Florida.

Here's the accompanying photo that Debbie sent:

Give Debbie some quilty love in the comments below.  I'm SEW happy to share her appliqued entry with all of you.  I know that you enjoy seeing her work as much as I do!  Thank you for sending the photo for the blog, Debbie.  It's lovely to be able to post your project (and anyone else's without a blog.)  Quilters are always looking for ways to USE the scraps from our cutting tables!

Link Party REMINDER...

The June 2025 Link Party opened on  Friday, June 27th @ 12:01 AM.  There's still time for YOU to join the scrappy fun!  Small projects are quick and entries can be added until Wednesday, July 2nd @ 11:59 PM (EDT).

Until next time...
USE those (table) SCRAPS!!!
