Sew Some Love Sunday - LWR - Nine is Fine, but Friends, We've got... {TEN for the Win!!!}

Welcome to another edition of Sew Some Love!!  I'm here with BIG news on the Lutheran World Relief Quilt Drive here at The Joyful Quilter.  This is a photo of the growing quilt stack:

Nann @ With Strings Attached provided a large number of squares.  Those were made up into kits one afternoon last Fall and distributed to my minions members of my Quilt Bee, who generously offered their time and talents to help with this project.  Without them, I would STILL be drowning in fabric squares!!

Ruth S. chose one of the kits to make this quilt top:

Britt did the quilting on her longarm:

Nann provided (the majority of) the backing:

Britt the bright extra bit of backing and the binding:

Nine is fine:

Thank you to Britt for dropping the quilt off and taking a completed top and more yardage for backing, along with backing provided by Louise @ Quilt Odyssey for the 2nd kit of squares you will assemble:

A similar scenario to many of the other completed LWR quilts with Ten for the WIN...

Here is what the quilt stack looks like now:

Kirsten bound this floral beauty...

Which was donated by Paulette @ The Way I Sew It:

I did the quilting and Suzanne in Alaska provided the batting:

Thank you to everyone who played a part in the making of this quilt, as well as the other LWR Mission Quilt shared in today's post.

Quilt Drive UPDATE...

SEW many people, so many resources shared.  With the addition of these two, my original goal of FIVE quilts for Lutheran World Relief has been DOUBLED!!  We have collected TEN quilts for donation and there are STILL more coming.

Until next time...
SEW much good!!!
