Welcome to Week 25 of the 2025 Rainbow Scrap Challenge!! This week is going to be a "sewing with a side of art" week. Errands and work will be thrown in as well.
This is how it all panned out...
SUNDAY - Weekly Morning Art Zoom found me working on the GEMSTONE prompt for ICAD...
Followed by the PETAL prompt:
When lunch was done, I returned to the studio for an afternoon of ORANGE scrap sewing:
MONDAY - Day Off
This morning, contractors were digging out for the new neighbor sidewalk that will end at our driveway, but that involved leveling the front section of our side yard. DH negotiated removal of the giant rocks formerly just outside my studio window...
All that noise didn't stop me from enjoying a watercolor class with Tammy Kaye:
I got my days wrong and barged in on Kathe and Nicky's private art chat. They were very gracious and didn't chase me off. I knocked out the ONAMOTOPIA prompt for ICAD:
TUESDAY - Day Off
I attended Open Studio with Barb and completed my card inspired by the TURTLE prompt:
Later, I got brave and decided on the next step for my contribution to the Window Seats quilt:
WEDNESDAY - Work
I did the grocery run this morning because I knew I wouldn't have time later. When I returned home this afternoon, it was time for my Weekly Zoom Call with LeeAnna @ Not Afraid of Color:
In neighborhood construction news...
Contractors were back again today for another pass at the sidewalk installation...
And "build kits" were delivered for House # 18 and #19, the final two houses in the new neighborhood:
DH and I did an airport run this evening, as DS2 returned from his vacation.
THURSDAY - Work
I did some computer work when I got home, had a quick dinner and left for my Monthly Evening Quilt Bee meeting. Here is a photo of those who gathered:
FRIDAY - TABLE SCRAPS Challenge
Knit Group was fun today with 4 in person attendees...
And Linda joined us via Zoom:
Open Studio with Deandra found me trying to catch up on the ICAD prompts that I skipped. My interpretation of the AVIARY prompt is shown below:
After dinner, at my Weekly Evening Art Zoom a couple of attempts at the SUNRISE prompt from Week 5 produced disastrous results for the Index-Card-a-Day challenge from Tammy @ Daisy Yellow Art...
SATURDAY - It's LINK PARTY day for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge! I hope you will join me in visiting Angela @ So Scrappy to see what the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.
I'm enjoyed an Art Day with Britt:
I'm showing off a few of the collage clusters I made using Britt's scraps and she's showing her interpretation of the SUNRISE prompt for ICAD. Thanks for a fun day, B!!
When I got home, Knittingsuek and I met for our Weekly Zoom Call:
Until next time...
Get SCRAPPY!!
Wow! You had a busy week & won't it be nice when the last two houses are done & the construction is over?
ReplyDeleteThose water color flowers are really pretty, Joy! I'm with Sue - I bet it will be so nice when all that construction is done. Getting all the sidewalks done should be helpful, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers you painted, Joy!!! When the construction is done, hopefully you'll have some great new neighbors.
ReplyDeleteAlways such a busy week! The flower painting turned out great. I'm guessing everyone in your neighborhood will be glad when all the construction is finally done.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy creator you are! I love seeing all your little art-ings during the week and very glad you didn't get kicked out of the private session...too funny. All that construction can wear on you, but one day it will be done.
