Mail Call Monday - Unplanned Scrap Swap

Welcome to another edition of Mail Call Monday!!  A  couple of weeks ago I got a package in the mail.  Not just any package, but a squishy!!  That's quilter speak for an envelope that has fabric enclosed.  It's a GOOD thing!  :o))

This squishy had a story.  It began with a scrap swap on Ravelry's Quilters Knitting group.  That swap led to another, which led to a missed opportunity...

You see, TNKnitter missed the sign-ups for Another Scrap Swap (as you just read, there had already been one) and was hoping to get in on the next one (which isn't yet "a thing.")  With the holidays coming, I knew that there probably wouldn't be another swap until after the first of the year.  Sew...

I volunteered to swap with her.  Even though I hadn't signed up for either of the swaps, nor did I volunteer to be a "Swap Angel" in the event that a swapper "flaked".  That's swap speak for someone who doesn't or isn't able to complete the agreed upon exchange.

Anyway... I gathered the required number of squares and mailed them off.  THIS is what I got in return:

A sweet little handmade note:

A funky little drawstring bag:

AND... my set of squares with seven extras included:

Bonus!!  Makes me happy that I offered to swap (even though I hadn't signed up!)  Thank you, Liana!!  Sorry it took so long to get around to posting about our swap.  As you well know, life happens!

Until next time...
Generosity breeds generosity!!!
