Wonderful Wednesday - Asheville Quilt Show

WARNING!!!  PHOTO HEAVY POST!!!

Welcome to another edition of Wonderful Wednesday!!  You will notice a couple of things about this week's post.  For one thing, it's no longer Wednesday, as I was out of town.  The other thing you will find is that there are very few words.  Too many things to catch up on after being away and the quilts will speak for themselves.

Sorry for the two (three?) week delay!  On a sunny afternoon, just outside of Asheville, North Carolina, a friend and I entered WNC Agricultural Center.  From the outside, it looked like SAFF.  On the inside, it was a whole different story.  From the moment I entered the door, all I could see was QUILTS!!

First up?  The Best of Show and I can assure you, my photo does NOT do it justice:

From there on out, I just snapped pictures at will.  Quilt credits are included as often as I remembered.  Just know that the photo quality is only as good as the photographer.  Although, there are a few art quilts and modern quilts, too, you may notice my preference for scrappy and/or rainbow quilts.  If that's not your thing, you may want to scroll quickly or wander off  now.  It's what I love and I wanted to be able to look at most of these again and again!  Let's get started on our tour of the show:

My friend and I stopped for dinner on the way home:

The sky even cooperated with the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

I hope that you enjoyed the Show.

Until next time...
Quilt til you wilt!!!

  1. Wow! Thank you for sharing! You did an excellent job remembering to photograph the title/quilter info! I don't understand the Nabisco quilt....how the quilt relates to the Nabisco labels. Did you get it?? (I like the quilt and colors, just trying to understand the relationship.) What a great quilt show!
