Scrap Happy Saturday - RSC17 - Week 20

Welcome to Week 20 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!

SUNDAY - Happy Mother's Day!!  My MIL actually came to our house for this holiday.  Amazingly enough, we calculated that she hasn't been here in 2 YEARS... shocking!!

MONDAY - Knit Group was followed by accompanying DS2 to a dental appointment.  Bad news!!  He's got some cavities.  :o((

The good news is that I made my dark GREEN block for the RSC:

TUESDAY - Spent some time in the sewing room this morning and the afternoon was taken up by a doctor visit with DS2.  The evening hours were occupied by a Graduation Party:

WEDNESDAY - It was Assembly Day for my light GREEN block for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge:

THURSDAY - Hello, North Carolina Quilt Symposium!!  Hello, Libby from Life on the Hill blog!!  We walked the show.  We shopped the vendors.  We checked into our hotel and went off to an early dinner.  A relaxing evening was followed by this...

That is NOT mud on my tire.  It's a missing chunk all the way around the tire, so it's a miracle that I got here without a blowout.  It's also a lucky thing that I didn't schedule a morning class!!!!!!!

FRIDAY - Work, work, work.  AFTER getting a new tire @ $80 bucks a pop!  Sigh...  That REALLY cut into my fabric budget!!

Two happy quilters:

Oh, wait!!  Let's get a shot with the symposium shirt:

Tomorrow, we'll try for a shot with BOTH of us smiling!!  :P

SATURDAY - Goodbye, North Carolina Quilt Symposium and thank you, Fairfield Inn and Suites, Crabtree Valley.  My quilt, Out on a Limb (circa 2003), looked lovely on your comfy bed:

And there's GREEN (of the teal variety) in it!!

My final day at NCQSI is just beginning as this was posted, but suffice it to say, I'm planning on having an AWESOME day!  I'll catch up with you over at Angela's So scrappy LINK PARTY later tonight or sometime tomorrow.  Here's hoping YOU are having an enjoyable weekend... because I certainly am.  :o))

ETA... The day was wonderful!!  I enjoyed meeting up with one of my best quilting buddies...

... and Needleb and I enjoyed meeting up with Graylagran from the Quilting Knitters group on Ravelry:

Sorry!!  I chose the least fuzzy of the 2 photos.  Must be all of the humidity in the gym!!!  LOL

It's always fun to put a name to a face on the computer screen, but even more fun when you get to meet live and in person.  Hope you enjoyed your time at NCQSI, D.

Until next time...
Get Scrappy!!!

  2. So glad to hear you are okay, driving around with such a tire could have resulted in something awful. But you are safe! Yeah! Lovely blocks and lots of fun with family and friends. Enjoy your AWESOME day! ;^)
