Sew Some Love Sunday {CiL}

Welcome to the premiere edition of Sew Some Love Sunday!!!
This new series will highlight any charity sewing that I do and will serve as a LINK post to Kat's new Link-Up over on Kat and Cat Quilts.

Kat runs Covered in Love down in East Texas.  I follow a fair number of her tutorials to make blocks for her program.  She is inviting ANY charity sewing to be shared each week.  While she would LOVE for it to be for her Covered in Love project, that is NOT a requirement for linking up!!

Last week, I made THIS block:

It is called Faded Quarter Cabins.  The tutorial can be found HERE. It's an easy block that goes together quickly.  I made it for the Covered in Love program and YOU can make one (or more) to help Kat create quilts for the families of her hospital patients.  It's a GREAT way to use up a few fabric scraps!!

Kat will be collecting these Faded Quarter Cabin blocks during the months of January AND February.  I'm hoping to mail my block off this week.  Maybe even BEFORE Wednesday's Link-Up.

Note:  She also accepts tops and completed quilts!!!  :o))

I'm linking up with Cynthia
@ Oh Scrap!, too.

Until next time...
Sew Some Love!!!

  5. My good friend Judy (Quilt Paradigm) has done a TON of work for Kat, some STELLAR quilting on tops. Kat's charity is a worthy one indeed. Quilters are the best. ;-) Great block!

  6. Your block looks great! Lots of gorgeous blues :) I'm excited about the new link up and hope to meet more charitable quilters that way.

  7. I also follow Kat and have to send in my blocks for this current round. It makes me feel good to help others in tough situations. This is my way of doing my little part to make the world a nicer place.
