ScrapHappy Saturday - RSC15 - Week 33

Welcome to Week 33 of the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!  There has to be a change of focus this week.  RSC sewing will take a backseat to Commission Sewing.  I've got 6 Custom CK Bags to make for friends and clients on the Criminal Knits group on Ravelry.  Shirts have been ordered and it's time to choose coordinating or contrasting fabrics for the bag production.  Hopefully, I will still be able to fit in a bit or RSC sewing, too.  Just don't expect too much from me this week!

SUNDAY saw little time for sewing so I did some tiny sewing and completed THREE Tiny Nines which were started last week:

On MONDAY, between the household chores of laundry and dishes, I did some trimming and ended up with FIVE Rainbow Crumb Blocks:

TUESDAY morning, I got right to work on 3 of my 6 Commission Bags.  These are the fabrics that I pulled yesterday afternoon before heading out to the Band Booster Board meeting.  (Remind me, again, WHY someone would raise her hand to VOLUNTEER for this job?!?!  Ugh!!!):

I may need to get a better shot of the Pool Blue shirt with its accompanying fabrics.  Shadows!!  :o((

Before adhering the fusible stabilizer to the shirts, I tried to get a better picture of the one in Pool Blue. Didn't happen!!!  This time, the photo came out too light, so the colors appear washed out:

Not quite sure what else to do!! (Aside from signing up for a photography class!!)

After the rain we had earlier, DH called me on his way home from work to tell me to go outside...

First, I had to stop quilting on my Dye Challenge:

This RAINBOW (for the RSC)  is what I saw:

On WEDNESDAY, I added to and trimmed up FOUR Rainbow Crumb Blocks:

Did a little more quilting on my Dye Challenge:

And, prepped my bag for tomorrow's weekly Quilt Group meeting:

I feel like a Super Hero!!  I even got the T-shirts trimmed for 2 of my Custom CK Bags:

THURSDAY was my weekly Quilt Group meeting.  Before leaving, I attached the binding to my Dye Challenge:

And worked on the binding during my meeting:

But didn't finish it until I was at my doctor appointment after lunch:

FRIDAY went by in a blur!  Knit Group in the morning and college move-in for DS1 in the afternoon.  Of course, that meant that SOMEONE had to take him.  Guess who?!?!  Me.

My monthly Quilt Bee meeting was on the schedule for SATURDAY.  My Dye Frenzy Challenge was completed with one day to spare.  The quilt will be revealed in my next Wonderful Wednesday post, so watch for it then.  (I'll provide a LINK HERE after it's posted.)

We had a lovely Nimble Thimbles meeting and stayed later than normal.  Chatting with quilting friends is such a wonderful way to spend a Saturday.  Afterwards, Helena came to my house to see some of my quilts in progress.  She vowed to come over more often.

In the meantime, head on over to the So Scrappy blog and see what all of the RSC Quilters have been up to this week.  I'm headed there now to join the LINK PARTY.  You'll find me at link number 19 or 20, depending on who else had a busy day and isn't posting until nearly 8:00 at night.  :o))

(Link number 19, it was.)

Until next time...
